<p>¡Hola, mis amigos! It’s Natalie here, and it has officially been one week since we stepped off the plane and onto South American soil. It feels like it has been a year — each moment has been packed full. As I anticipated, it has been a rollercoaster, full of both highs and lows.</p>

<p>We arrived at the airport mid-day on Thursday, January 20th. I stumbled off the plane with only a few hours of sleep to propel me forward. The first thing I noticed was the humidity — it was like the warm air wrapped around my skin like a bubble. Immediately, sweat began to bead on my forehead, and I sent a silent thank you to my mom, who insisted I throw in a few more sundresses in my overflowing suitcase. The bus ride into the city was surreal. Everything was green and vibrant and <em>different</em>.</p>
