Autumn In Miami
<p>Right now, I’m sitting in a Starbucks, drinking a pumpkin cream cold brew, surrounded by signs with proclamations of this fabulous time of year we call fall. The patrons around me are even dressed in warm, deep colors associated with changing leaves. It’s overcast today, and grey is floating through the windows, casting just the right hue for an end-of-summer send-off. It all fits, except fall isn’t here and never will be. The door just left of me opens and closes, and with each swing, I get smacked. I get hit with a possibly unhealthy dose of car emissions, humidity, and heat.</p>
