Autistic Kids in the Workplace

Meet my awesome 14-year-old son, Niko. He’s not just someone with autism — he’s super smart, mega-talented, and totally into cooking. In fact, he dreams of becoming a chef. But, you know, life’s not always easy. There are hurdles, especially because people sometimes treat autistic kids unfairly. And guess what? The restaurant business, where Niko wants to shine, can be pretty tough.

Niko’s kitchen adventures started right at home, where we cook up a storm together. He’s a natural (his Dad trained him well) and his dream is not just about cooking but having his own restaurant someday. We’re still figuring out what to call it, though.

Website
