At the Heart of the Creative Process

I haven’t written anything for today yet. I went to bed way too late last night. Reminder to stop going to bed after midnight. Ruins my day and my mood. Schedule :

Write Sunday’s article

Write the week’s content for peace of mind

Do some sport

Get some fresh air

Walk 8,000 steps a day (i need them)

Sunday — 4:00 pm
The article has been written but I’m drained. No courage to write the next batch of articles for the week. For the second week in a row, I’ll write before publication. Not the greatest idea. I have a publication schedule, I just can’t stick to it anymore. I have to be more disciplined. It helps to write better, to have clarity.

Monday, September 11 — 8:00 am
Monday is for poetry. Nothing written for this morning. Luckily, I have a lot of short texts, written when nobody read me. Or texts that are only in drafts. I read a sad story yesterday. It immediately reminded me of this text I wrote about a year ago. Time to republish it.

Monday — 9:00 am
The text’s foundations are solid, but needs editing. From a one-shot story, I can divide it into 5 parts, each of which will be a part of our protagonist’s life. This will give the text more depth. I notice that the parts are more or less equal. I’m going to even things out and edit certain parts to make this text 5 paragraphs of 12 lines. I love geometry in text. I’m convinced that writing is math. We are only trying to create an equation that makes sense with words.
The first sentences of each paragraph will mark the break between the different period of his life. I like the final result. I still have so many texts to create this week, mental pollution. I really need to write ahead.
