Asian man grabs Black woman by the neck — he says she was stealing, activists say it’s racism and misogynoir
<p>There’s yet another case that has inspired protests. This time it’s in Peckham, in South-east London.</p>
<p>It begins with a 31-year old Black woman asking for a refund for some previously purchased hair products. The shop owner, 45-year old Sohail Sindho, informs her that refunds aren’t possible, but she could exchange for other products of the same value or have store credit. Instead, he says, the woman decides to grab 3 packs of hair worth £24 and attempt to leave.</p>
<p>Sohail had been observing her before moving to the exit door to prevent her from leaving with the products. A fight ensues, he tries to take the products back, she struggles and hits him with a shopping basket, and he finally grabs her by the throat.</p>
