April Fools’ Day Spoofing: Believe or Not to Believe

<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Space Needle&rsquo;s collapse</strong>&nbsp;was announced in a special news report on April 1, 1989, by the comedy program &ldquo;Almost Live&rdquo; in Seattle. The art department of the program provided some Photoshop shots of the observation tower&rsquo;s collapse.</p> <p>Numerous calls were placed to the switchboard of the station and the 911 dispatchers as a result.</p> <p>Thank goodness it was not true because the Space Needle is dear to my heart as I lived and still live in the Seattle area.
