5 Highlights of the Business Trip to Amsterdam in June
<p>The chance came around earlier than I expected that I get to visit the HQ in Amsterdam again after the <a href="https://medium.com/@satokasotome/business-trip-to-amsterdam-in-7-shots-c6319a5f749" rel="noopener">first time</a>.</p>
<p>This time, the trip was less refreshing but more stimulating both intellectually and socially.</p>
<p>Here are some of the best moments of the visit.</p>
<h1>1. Working with My Teammates F2F</h1>
<p>Based in Tokyo, I see my teammates in Amsterdam at a daily handover meeting at 4 pm (their morning) through my laptop screen.</p>
<p>Although online calls do the minimum job, they are not nearly interchangeable with working F2F in the same room.</p>
<p>When in Tokyo, I spend a lot of time reading through documentation to decide my next actions whereas when in Amsterdam, the majority of my time is spent communicating/sharing my thoughts and questions with the team and less time quietly searching for answers online.</p>
