Native American Casinos Are on Stolen Land —Indians owe reparations to black folks, but a land acknowledgement is a good start.
<p>It may seem that way on first glance, but sometimes the talking stick is passed to us and we have a responsibility to speak up, even when it’s uncomfortable. <strong>Sometimes we need to feel uncomfortable and face the sins of our past. That includes Native Americans.</strong></p>
<p>This article isn’t meant to minimize the degree of suffering Native Americans have experienced and continue to experience at the hands of white colonizers, but when injustice goes unnoticed, I have to call it out. It looks like no one else is interested in taking up the subject, and that’s understandable. In the interest of sensitivity, I’ll keep this article brief, and I’ll do my best to keep my opinions to a minimum and just state the facts.</p>
