The Unsolved Murder of First Nations Woman Amber Tuccaro

It’s been over a decade, and the family of Amber Tuccaro has still not received answers about her murder.

Alberta native Amber Tuccaro went missing on August 18th, 2010. On a trip to Edmonton with her son and a friend, the 20-year-old woman was last seen accepting an unknown man’s ride while hitchhiking.

Amber’s family attempted to report her missing to the Canadian authorities, but those pleas were ignored publicly, saying they didn’t think she had gone missing. They eventually listed her as a missing person. Her body was found two years later by horseback riders in a field in Leduc County.
