My Journey from Islam to Agnosticism
<p>I wasn’t very religious in my youth until I approached the age of twenty when I became confused about my identity and asked myself questions such as who am I? What is the meaning of life? What is my goal? Then a series of events caused me to review the religion of my birth.</p>
<p>The first was the Islamic revolution in Iran. I remember watching the battles in the streets of Tehran on television and the courage of the people in front of the heavily armed guard of the Shah. I found the pictures inspiring. I was also aware that Islam played an important role in motivating them.</p>
