British Invaders, African Homelands
<p>Ibarely made it passed the headline that caught my eye when my brain suddenly renamed the article from am “esteemed” Queen’s English paper: British Destructive Military Occupation Relabeled as “It’s your fault Africa you’re poor.” That’s what my brain said, so I wrote it down. That I realized my brain was telling me about this article because it contained the central British narrative, even though a non-white Brit wrote it, explaining the basic moral superiority to Africans “You need investment because your black African countries are enmeshed in poverty but can’t get it.”</p>
<p>That’s what Africans need: another moral economic lecture after centuries of looting, enslaving, invading, and occupying to suck their countries dry and traumatize their populations is the most galling gaslighting imaginable. And they need their militant occupiers to give it. Or as I call it, Just another day of good British PR.</p>
