Long Blog 2 — How did a Toronto Christmas Parade Turn Into one of the Largest Advertising Events?
<p>Since arriving in Toronto, I have been fascinated by the city’s unique history. When enrolling in courses for the 2022/2023 school year, one that caught my attention was a history seminar course — History of Toronto. This full-year course introduces the fundamentals of historical approaches and methodologies through an overview of Toronto’s history. Some of the topics discussed throughout the course include colonialism, immigration, urban development, suburban growth, capitalism, politics, environment, and other developments.</p>
<p>Every Tuesday and Thursday I look forward to this class, as I always find myself engaged and intrigued by the discussion about Toronto’s history and how its history has shaped the city we see today.</p>
