How I Accidentally Emigrated and Became a Teacher: Part 2

<p>So, I had entered the big ECC building (English and Computer College) in search of a teaching job so that I could avoid an early return to England after my travel money had run out. I was in the middle of Bangkok, it was December 1991, my travel money was shot, I was down and out and going back to England’s cold cold winter if I could not land a job. I <em>really</em> did not want to leave Thailand yet!</p>
<p>The previous day I had given up hope after two rejections, but my travel friends back at the guest house had urged me to give it another go. Now back again, I had stumbled upon ECC, one of the schools on my list I’d compiled before leaving England.</p>
