A Tour of Istanbul

On the streets of Istanbul there are faces so intertwined with time that you cannot trace them. They invite a vague flash of recognition as they pass through you, but you will never know them.

On a bridge that connects Europe and Asia and two entire worlds between them, there are fishermen that lean upon a dirty rail and collect dead fish in glass cups while their bored, fully covered wives sit nearby and furiously scan Instagram.

In Istanbul there are men of God in flowing robes who walk toward half-finished mosques and for a moment all the mosques in the city feel as though they are half finished.
