<p>Are transgender women allowed to participate in the 2024 Olympics? It depends on the sport. In 2022, there was widespread disagreement over what trans women’s participation eligibility should be based on, so the International Olympic Committee <a href="https://www.necn.com/news/sports/ioc-announces-new-rules-for-transgender-athletes-before-paris-2024-olympics/2894329/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">decided</a> to allow each sport to set their own rules and qualifications for trans athletes.</p>
